Third Saturday Art Classes
All classes are taught by Allison Roberts. Classes for children, adults and families at a
Cost of $14.00 per person.
September 18: 9:00-10:30 AM "A Beautiful End to a Day", pastel sunset drawing for children ages 5-10. 11:00-12:30 Digital Photography I, Digital Photography Basics" Adults. Participants will learn how to take better photographs using their digital camera. Basic operation, composition, and lighting will be covered in this first class. Bring a digital camera, charged batteries, and the instruction manual.
October 16: 9:00-10:30 AM "Princes, Princesses, or Superheros" A figure drawing class Children ages 5-10 11:00-12:30 "digital Photography II" Adults "Learning to see with your Camera" This class will build on the first with emphasis on photographing your environment (buildings, parks, community and portraits)
November 20: 9:00-10:30 AM "Jam Jar Luminaries" Children ages 5-11 11:00-12:30 "Tin Can Luminaries/Lanterns" Adult/Family Participants will use a punch technique on metal Painting/creating gifts to take home

CLUB PICASSO FALL CLASSES
This fall begins the series of fine art sessions for children taught by award winning art teacher and elementary counselor, Karen Krause. September 25, October 2 and October 9 9:00-10:30 AM $38.00 all materials are supplied by Art Center Activities will include a fall textural study and as look at the Dutch masters. Acrylic paints, drawing crayons and pastels will be used as well as lots of other art materials.

Gallery Guide TV Show New Schedule

Boss Grant's Johnny Cash Revue September 11, 2010
At Harguth's Barn 3 miles south of Waseca on Highway 13 Presented by the Waseca Arts Council Doors open at 6:30 PM, the Northern Drawl Bluegrass Band plays at 7:00 with the Johnny Cash Revue beginning at 8:00 PM. Tickets are $25.00 which includes a pork sandwich, chips and a choice of soda, water, wine or beer. The Minnesota Pork Producers are providing the pork sandwiches that are grilled on site. They were delicious last year. Popcorn will also be available. Only 125 tickets are available. To order tickets, do one of the following: 1. email Kate at Peterson@wasecaartscouncil.org and request tickets be set aside for you. tickets will be held for you until August 30th for you to pay for and pick up at the Arts Center. 2. Before August 30th, put your check made out to the Waseca Arts Council in the mail with a stamped self-addressed envelope.
