The Layers of Life
The Layers of Life Recent Work by Patti Rusky February 19—March 27, 2010 Opening Reception February 20th 12:00—2:00 pm It has been six years since Patti Rusky’s last solo show at the Waseca Art Center. Rusky is basically a self taught artist, but one that has developed a very expressive and personal style. She has exhibited widely throughout Southern Minnesota and has won numerous awards for her mixed media paintings, especially at the Prairie Lakes Regional Art Council annual art show, winning Best of Show, and three Merit Awards, and one purchase award since 2000. She has been active in the Mankato area creating and exhibiting her art plus doing some artist-in-residency programs. She has received three 3 artist grants from Prairie Lakes Regional Arts Council: two individual grant funded by the McKnight Foundation, and a Public Art Project Small Arts grant.
