      Volunteers are needed to work the front desk at the Waseca Art Center.   Many time slots are open.  Mornings run from 10 am to 1:00 pm,  Afternoons 1:00 pm to 4 pm.  Saturdays are from 10 am- 2 pm.   Please call Kate to help.   507-835-1701.

    The WAC’s 13th scholarship winner was announced by WAC Board Member Delores Dennis at the High School Award Banquet in May, 2008.    Ethan has an interest in music and will be attending Wartberg College in Iowa.

2005 POETRY CHAPBOOK STILL AVAILABLE:   
       The top 20 poems from the WAC 2005 poetry contest have been assembled into a BEAUTIFUL Art Center published chapbook, and are on sale.  Cost is $6.95, plus $.45 tax per book.     If you would like to have books mailed to you, send a personal check for $7.40 per book plus $1.00 handling/mailing fee to Waseca Art Center, 410 North State ST., Waseca, Minnesota, 56093.    If you desire 2 or more books please add $1.50 for postage. 2008 WAC TRIPS
    Each year trips are offered for small groups of people who enjoy touring art musuems and architectural sites in major U.S. Cities.  Most trips include trolley or bus tour of city.  Anyone interested must be able to walk at least one block, climb some stairs, and be good companions.   Prices are estimates until one month before trip, estimated costs for 3 nights, 4 days is between $1000 - $1200 per person and all are double or triple occupancy.  Rates will be higher for individuals requesting single accommodations   Short trips to Chicago or Kansas City will cost considerably less.   Prices include airfare, hotel, some transportation, tour and museum fees.   Prices do not include any meals, tips, and most transportation (subway or taxi fares).    Contact Pat Beckmann for more information
    Possible sites for 2008 are Kansas City (one or two nights),  Chicago and Philidelphia.  More information will be posted soon.
